  2. Overview
  3. Ever hit Restart instead of Shutdown under the Special menu, only to sit there waiting for all your INIT's to load before you can shutdown, again.  This INIT is a way around that problem.  At present it is configured so that holding down the 'end' key on an extended keyboard during startup will cause your mac to shut-down immediately.  If ShutDowner is set to load first under an INIT manager, or because it has a space in-front of it's name, then it will load nice and quickly - you don't have to wait around.  There is only one problem at present, if you do Shut-Down using this init, any INIT manger that was running will believe that ShutDowner has crashed and might tell you so next startup, Ignore it.
